Welded metal structures annealing (normalizing)
The annealing of welded metal structures involves the heating of welded parts to the temperature of 600°C (1112 °F) followed by furnace cooling (bogie hearth furnace).
The annealing of welded metal structures relieves stress at weld seams which prevents possible cracking. The annealing of welded metal structures is a long procedure and it takes from 6 to 24 hours, in case all specifications are met.
Technolit Int. performs annealing of welded metal structures of various steel grades and part dimensions up to 3000 mm x 1300 mm x 1600 mm (118.11 in x 51.181 in x 62.992 in).
