What does HEAT TREATMENT involve?

Heat treatment is a process wherein the steel crystal lattice structure is changed. Due to this the metal changes its physical properties, with its chemical properties remaining invariable.

Technolit Int. provides the following heat treatment services:

Annealing the material is introduced to a temperature (in a bogie hearth furnace) up to 900-950 C (1652-1742 F). Then it is soaked at the said temperature for 3-4 hours, with subsequent cooling in the furnace.

Normalizing the material is introduced to a temperature (in a bogie hearth furnace) up to 900-950 C (1652-1742 F). Then it is soaked at the said temperature for 3-4 hours, with subsequent cooling in the furnace.
 
All parts and components produced by Technolit Int. undergo heat treatment. The heat treatment services are also provided to outside companies.

Heat treating is one of the essential procedures to be used during forging.

Heat treating improves the part properties, reduces its hardness and facilitates its mechanical working. For some steel grades (12, 9, 45 and other tool steels) post-forging HEAT TREATMENT is a MANDATORY REQUIREMENT.
